The architecture firm Stücheli Architekten was founded by Werner Stücheli (1916–1983) in Zurich in 1946. Stücheli’s numerous, award-winning buildings – which include the first high-rise in Zurich’s city centre (Zur Bastei office building, 1955) – are still an integral part of the urban landscape. The company is now managed by the three partners Eva Schaub, Mathis Tinner and Daniel Zuppiger and employs around 35 people.
"We see architecture as a cultural service. Uniting the requirements of the client and society is our guiding principle for every commission. Our buildings should grow with time and use. For us, architecture that constantly demonstrates its strengths anew means quality. For us, innovation is not a contradiction to tradition. Innovation arises from what already exists and is inconceivable for us without a continuous development process.
We offer comprehensive services in all phases of a construction project. In complex projects with large planning teams, we also assume responsibility for the entire project planning as general planners. As the client's single point of contact, we guarantee efficient project management."
