Star architect Daniel Libeskind caused quite a stir with the Kö-Bogen at the northern end of Düsseldorf's Königsallee. The two-part building ensemble in a prominent city center location now houses flagship stores of top international brands, restaurants and various offices.

The largest commercial area is 7000 square meters. Here, an independent design language and functionally variable furnishings were to characterize the space. The high demands on the coordinated lighting could only be met with a special solution. Due to the special floor plan, the challenge was to illuminate a wide variety of office sizes and shapes as efficiently as possible and in accordance with standards, while at the same time taking the external effect into account.

As it was not possible to install the luminaires in the ceiling due to the cooling and heating ceiling, a different solution had to be found: a surface-mounted profile that was as flat as possible and painted in the same color as the ceiling. This was achieved with the Channel Office C-LED profile luminaire. The undulating façade and the light lines arranged at a 90° angle to it required nine different lengths of continuous-row lighting. These are repeated in the individual floors and rooms as a uniform element. The profiles were delivered to the construction site by Regent already cut, painted and fitted with end caps. Special areas were planned with Tekla LED downlights.
