Built into the premises of the former Schweizerbund Inn, the new Raiffeisen branch in Neunkirch is designed to provide a contemporary and flexible environment for a modern bank. Organized into three main areas, the front spaces along Grabenstrasse are open and flexible, creating a modern, welcoming atmosphere. The concept for the consulting rooms in the former Inn, on the other hand, takes cues from the informal and cozy nature of a living room. The atmosphere is intimate, conveying both proximity and hospitality. The third area in the southern part of the Inn is designed as an add-on in which the spaces can be used as an event room or work as a future office extension.

The theme of viticulture acts as a common thread, and is applied in different ways to the bank’s two main areas. The diamond-shaped glass wall, concrete floor and wooden ceiling come together to make the customer area feel bright, warm and open to the public. As a nod to the bank’s headquarters in Schaffhausen, the colored glass shingle wall was carried over and adapted to the bank’s viticultural theme. This backlit glass wall creates a colorful and attractive atmosphere visible from the street. In the former Inn, the flooring changes to parquet, with the material palette dominated by wood and light-colored mineral surfaces. Raw materials, wooden surfaces, textiles and furniture are used to create a sense of design continuity and leaves clients and visitors with a unified impression for a contemporary bank.
