The HoHo Vienna constitutes a clear statement in the lakeside town of Aspern: By the synthesis of wood and concrete, the 84-metre-high timber skyscraper combines innovation and sustainability. In addition to the hybrid building construction the usage concept convinces with its diversity – the skyscraper includes office space, a hotel and flats, a fitness and beauty area as well as several medical practices. Thus, both, tenants and visitors find everything they need under one roof at the HoHo Vienna.

The building complex consists of two separate structures connected via an underground passageway: The HoHo Tower and the HoHo Next. Both rely predominantly on wood as an interior construction material – with a proportion of 75 % wood in the entire building, the HoHo Vienna is considered a showcase project for avant-garde and environmentally friendly construction. Compared to a classic design in reinforced concrete, the timber construction saves around 2,800 tonnes of CO2 equivalents. But the design is impressive, too: The approximately 800 wooden supports are made of local spruce and create a modern and cosy atmosphere.

As a specialist in dry wall construction, Lindner was already involved from the very beginning – the NORIT dry screed came to use on about 3,000 m². As part of the tenant fit-out, Lindner produced various wall and ceiling claddings, taking into account the client's individual design requirements. Moreover, the Lindner FLOOR and more® and FLOOR and more® hydro hollow floor systems were installed. These are Cradle to Cradle Certified® and harmless regarding the building biology and thus fit perfectly into the sustainable timber building. Thanks to its special panel formulation and the reinforced hollow floor pedestals, the hollow floor variant "Power" is particularly resilient and was therefore used in the fitness area. In order to ensure optimum acoustics, further tests in addition to the normal acoustic tests were carried out: These measured the sound insulation of the hollow floors combined with wooden ceilings.

With various products and services, Lindner contributes significantly to the sustainability and unique design of the building – which is also why the HoHo Vienna achieves an excellent 942 out of 1,000 points from the Austrian Sustainable Building Council.
